Middle School Hangout

What does it mean to “Grow Up Into Christ”?

We are a diverse people - a family of servants and missionaries - learning to follow Jesus for all of life.

The path to becoming a more mature version of the man or woman God has called us to be is lived out with the community of God, the Church, following God’s ways. But the steps to maturity will be unique since each of us is made to display a distinct aspect of God’s glory. God’s word paints a picture of this process. Jesus has given us the path, and the Holy Spirit has come to empower us to live as God’s people.

This Fall, we are walking through Romans, learning what it means to live as servants and missionaries in God’s Kingdom to bring the Gospel to our neighbors. We are using The Gospel Project life application questions to put into practice some of what we are learning on Sundays and Thursdays, and we’ll also have some of our Soma missionaries teaching on evangelism and mission (locally and globally).

Each week we will: eat together, make time to connect and play, engage with God and his word, and discuss how we pursue Jesus together and apply what we’re learning in the unique contexts God has given us.

SLACK and email are the main ways we communicate with parents during the week.
Please RSVP on Slack and let us know what you’re bringing. If you’re not a part of the Soma family yet, please feel free to come; we’d love to have you!
