Middle School Serve Spokane Camp

  • The Portico 1502 West 8th Avenue Spokane, WA, 99204 United States (map)

Middle Schoolers - you can impact the city for Christ!

How can we practice thinking like missionaries and servants at every age? In middle school and high school, it often feels like serving the local needs of your community is challenging because we’re ignorant of the needs, don’t have access to help, and even safety concerns can prevent us from participating in what God is doing!

We want Soma Youth to have hearts for the good of this city and grow up investing in the place we live, so God’s Kingdom will come in power. Generation Alive camps are designed to offer students a fun and exciting opportunity to dive deep into the needs of their city.  Throughout the week, students will volunteer at various local non-profits, where they spend time working for each organization, learning the work that goes into solving needs in their community. These service opportunities are filled with fun games, group-building activities, and, of course, the all-city scavenger hunt!

This day camp experience will be from August 17th to 19th, 9:30 am - 5 pm. Each day will start and end at The Portico (1502 W. 8th Avenue). During the day, you’ll travel to work with different organizations and learn from those doing work right in our neighborhoods. Lunch and snacks are provided in the cost (if you have significant food allergies, these aren’t accommodated by the team, but you can coordinate food with Joel).

Cost: is $150/student for 3 days. Please eat breakfast before you come, bring a labeled water bottle and a light backpack, and good walking shoes.
